How aged care physiotherapy at home helps

Our physiotherapy for the elderly is designed around the real challenges of ageing: reduced mobility, loss of balance, pain, and recovery after illness or hospital stays. Treating people in their own home means we build every programme around the actual stairs, chairs, hallways and bathrooms they use each day, which makes progress practical and lasting. Every plan is tailored, gentle and paced to the person in front of us.

What to expect: how a home visit works

We understand starting with a new provider can feel uncertain. Here's what happens during your initial assessment.

Step 1: Book your Visit

Call or enquire online and we arrange a time that suits you and your family, with no waiting list.

Step 2: Home Assessment

On the first visit, your physiotherapist reviews mobility, strength, balance and medical history, and looks at your home environment and goals. This appointment is a little longer than the rest.

Step 3: Personalised Treatment Plan

We set a clear, achievable treatment and exercise plan built around what matters most to you.

Step 4: Treatment and Progress

Each visit combines hands-on therapy and guided exercise, and we keep family, GPs and care managers updated as you progress.

Our treatment approach

Our aged care physiotherapists use evidence-based, gentle techniques suited to older patients: hands-on manual therapy and soft-tissue work for pain relief, tailored exercise therapy to rebuild strength and flexibility, balance and walking retraining, and clear education for both the patient and their carers so the gains continue between visits. We bring a portable treatment table so you can have an in-clinic experience at home.
